In just about any time in American history, this type of story would end a presidency and anyone involved in this disgusting treatment of American sailors would be investigated, indicted, and removed from office. We have become so inured to incredible imcompetence that not even a story of this magnitude makes a dent in the American psyche.
Disgrace!

Rick, thank you for reading and thanks for your comment… Your characterization of the country being “desensitized” is very accurate. People have become numb to all the corruption, lies, and ineptitude taking place all over the country. It’s not like there’s just one negative story each week, it’s like a dozen negative stories each day. As you may be aware, Chris and I never had kids. That is one of our biggest regrets. But there are times, like now, when I consider it a blessing. You have a strong family with children and grandchildren. There must be times when you worry about their future. I don’t know if the midterm elections are going to have any effect on the damage done to this country in the past two years. Anyway that’s my political rant. You and Denise appeared to be having a great retirement. Stay healthy and continue to enjoy a great life.
